The Arctic Ocean

Abstract

The deeper Arctic Ocean is conveniently divided into two unequal portions. The Amerasian Basin is the larger. It is separated from the smaller Eurasian Basin by the Lomonosov Ridge, a feature that forms a prominent backbone for the deeper Arctic Ocean (Fig. 1).
