Abstract
We have been using a very simple programming language consisting of only ok, assignment, if then else, dependent (sequential) composition, and refined specifications. In this chapter we enrich our repertoire by considering some of the notations found in some popular languages. We will not consider independent (parallel) composition and communication (input and output) just yet; they get their own chapters later.
