Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in Nigerian children

Conclusion

There is every reason to suspect that juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is just as common as adult rheumatoid arthritis in both warm and cold climates but that a lot of the cases present themselves in the mild form and therefore, not clinically diagnosed. Since juvenile rheumatoid arthritis is considered the leading chronic crippling disease of childhood there is a need for a prospective study where a careful work-up will be done on each patient who has an arthritic disorder.
