Ovarian actinomycosis during first-trimester pregnancy

Abstract

A case of actinomycotic ovarian abscess ruptured during early gestation and related to IUD use is reported. The patient was treated by antibiotic therapy and oophorectomy. Further evolution of the pregnancy was irrelevant.

Resumé

Cet article décrit le cas d'un abcès actinomycétique ovarien qui avait éclaté au début de la période de gestation et qui était lié à l'utilisation d'un DIU. Cette patiente a suivi un traitement thérapeutique aux antibiotiques et a subi une ovariectomie. La grossesse a par la suite évolué sans incidents.

Resumen

Se presenta un caso de abceso ovárico actinomicótico relacionado con el uso de DIU. La paciente fue tratada con antibióticos y ooforectomía. La evolución del embarazo no sufrió alteraciones.
