Electrocardiographic diagnosis is becoming more important for general practitioners, since these problems are common in the elderly, there are now many effective drugs available to treat these arrhythmias and many family doctors have electrocardiographs and are thus in a good position to identify and treat disorders of cardiac rhythm and conduction in the home.
