Abstract

As explained in chapter 3.1, the modern management of innovation is a global challenge in dynamically changing environments. Firms face an increasing pressure on reducing costs and time-to-markets but are concurrently requested to improve the product quality. Thus, they need to look for alternative sources of innovation and leaner structures as well as processes that help them to achieve sustained competitive advantage.
