Abstract

Bowen’s disease, or intraepidermal (or in situ) squamous-cell epithelioma, is a dyskeratosis with a malignant course. It may occur anywhere on the skin or the genital and buccal mucous membranes. Localisation at the nail is very rare and assumes a particular clinical appearance that explains the frequent failure of recognition.
