Abstract
In ultrasonic diagnostics of space-occupying cerebral lesions, as well as with other neurological and radiological procedures, the location of the lesions is of great importance. Consequently, the value of the sonoencephalographic examination for diagnosing and localizing space-occupying lesions varies with the position, rate of growth, and type of lesion. The possibilities and limitations of the SEG in diagnosing intracranial tumors through demonstration of tumor echoes has been established by Tanaka, Mtsuno et al. (1956); Wild, Neal, Reid (1950, 1952); Dyk, Barrows and Kruze (1967).
