Zusammenfassung

In Deutschland werden aktuell ca. 80.000 Patienten mit einem Dialyseverfahren behandelt. Im Rahmen der ambulanten kassenärztlichen Qualitätskontrolle ergibt sich für die Hämodialyse (HD) ein Anteil von 95 %, 5 % der Patienten werden mit der Peritonealdialyse (PD) behandelt (MNC: Jahresbericht Dialyse 2011 für den Gemeinsamen Bundesausschuss). Das durchschnittliche Alter der Dialysepatienten hat sich in den letzten Jahren kontinuierlich erhöht. 2011 betrug es im Median 70 Jahre. 1731 der 4933 Patienten, die in 2011 neu mit der Dialyse begannen, waren älter als 75 Jahre.
