Abstract

With the aging population and advancements in the treatment of cancer, metastatic disease to the spine has become an increasingly frequent problem. Several treatment modalities can be used to manage metastatic spine tumors including radiation, surgical, and medical therapy. Determining the most appropriate treatment modality involves thorough evaluation of clinical symptoms, imaging, and risk stratification. In this chapter, the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management of metastatic spine tumors are reviewed.
