Abstract

Grading systems are necessary to define the diagnosis of open-angle or angle-closure glaucoma and their prestages. They are based on gonioscopy and/or on slitlamp examinations. Several grading systems are described in detail. Documentation of examination findings is important for communication and follow-up.
