Abstract
The efficient use of machines, computers, and automation has enabled modern manufacturing industry to reach such an advanced state, that the need for hand tools has been almost eliminated. However, hand tools are still required for many purposes in industry, like the making of prototypes and models, and for the repair and maintenance of equipment. Some of the most common hand tools are shown in Fig 3.2 and a brief description of their use is given below.
