Épidémiologie des douleurs chroniques post-chirurgicales

Résumé

La chirurgie induit une douleur post-opératoire liée au traumatisme tissulaire et à l’inflammation qui en résulte. Dans certains types de chirurgie, il existe des données épidémiologiques qui soulignent la possibilité de persistance de douleurs post-chirurgicales sous une forme chronique [1]. Nous aborderons ici l’incidence et la signification clinique de cette chronicisation dans les principales chirurgies où des données existent. Nous tenterons ensuite d’analyser à partir de données épidémiologiques les facteurs favorisant la chronicisation.
