Le processus de consolidation osseuse post-fracturaire est un phénomène de grande complexité. Multifactoriel, il fait intervenir des phénomènes de médiation extracellulaire, intracellulaire et vraisemblablement d’ordre physique extracellulaire; le recrutement et la différenciation cellulaire dépendant de réactions biologiques en chaîne, produisant des facteurs de croissance et des cytokines.
