Abstract

Hospital- or university-based, medically supervised weight loss programs are far less commonly used by the general public than commercial programs, but offer certain features that are unusual in commercial programs. Their success rates vary but generally provide the most comprehensive care available, utilizing a multidisciplinary team of health-care professionals.
