Abstract

The patient was identified and the site of surgery confirmed. Anesthesia was induced. Prophylactic IV antibiotics were administered. The patient was placed supine on a radiolucent operating table, a padded thigh tourniquet was placed, the leg was shaved, and all bony prominences were padded. Fluoroscopy was brought in to con fi rm visualization of the entire tibia in the AP and lateral planes and a closed reduction was performed. Alignment was confirmed with fluoroscopy and the patient was prepped and draped.
