Abstract

Within tic disorders (TD), comorbid obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is common and this co-occurrence poses a challenge in the treatment of both disorders. The present chapter compares the phenomenology of TD and OCD, followed by a discussion on the available treatment plans, both pharmacological and psychological. Finally, the chapter concludes with a case study that demonstrates the complexity and treatment of TD with comorbid OCD.
