Abstract

Personality disorders frequently co-occur with anxiety disorders; however, unlike Cluster C personality disorders, there is a dearth of empirical research on the co-occurrence of anxiety with Cluster A personality disorders. This chapter examines Cluster A personality disorders and the complexity these personality disorders may create when treating comorbid anxiety disorders. Therapeutic approaches for this group are presented and exhibited through a clinical case study.
