Abstract
So far, watershed modeling has been presented in this book with respect to underlying approaches to hydrology and ecology, existing models developed out of different academic traditions, how to approach model creation and applications, and modeling costs and benefits. While many models and modeling environments have been listed and cursorily reviewed, they have not been formally reviewed. Evaluation must be based on the particular needs and constraints of the watershed management group. This chapter lays a foundation that a group can use to evaluate models and modeling environments with respect to local needs.
