Abstract
Orthomolecular psychiatry has been identified primarily with megavitamin therapy. This is an overly narrow definition that has been obsolete since even before 1968 when Linus Pauling (1968) identified orthomolecular psychiatry as the treatment of mental disorders by varying the concentrations of substances normally found in the human body or as Dr. Pauling states, “The right molecules in the right amounts” (p. 265).
