Abstract
Some sensors are simply too complex to homebrew and others might be too difficult to build because they require electronic components that are too small to handle. Fortunately, several companies have stepped in to provide sophisticated sensors whose market is too small for a big company like LEGO. It isn’t our intention to make this chapter look like a product catalog, because over the life of this book many of their offerings will change, but rather to make you aware of other places to look to fill your sensing needs. Links to all the vendors are given in Appendix B.
