Abstract
Building is a long and complex process which involves a great deal of money and a multiplicity of parties who often have directly conflicting interests, so it is hardly surprising that it gives rise to some fierce disputes. Although it would be wrong to assume that the construction process is inevitably fraught with conflict, it is an industry which has generated more than its fair share of legal proceedings in recent years.
