Abstract
Five papers specifically dealing with the science or engineering of baseball were submitted to the conference. Four of these papers deal with topics associated with issues related to the ball-bat collision. The fifth paper deals with the aerodynamics of a baseball in flight. All of the submitted papers address issues of practical importance to the game of baseball. What follows is a brief summary of each paper, followed by a synopsis of other activity in the field not reported at this conference.
