In artificial intelligence, a statement that (a) concerns an entity of the real or virtual world, (b) has a generally accepted validity, and (c) may be viewed as a belief with a high certainty factor, such as a certainty factor that approaches unity, i.e., true, on a scale where a zero corresponds to false and a one corresponds to true.
