Abstract
This essay describes the meaning of the sketching in industrial design, and analyzes the advantages of 2D digital sketching in design process which can solve the problems in hand sketching, and how to utilize it in industrial design education for the students of different classes with an example. The discussion on hand sketching and digital sketching is about their relationships for serving the design and their efforts in design respectively. New techniques are expected to be exploited to improve design process efficiency for more progress.
