We are organising a Special Issue in Purinergic Signaling in honour and in loving memory of Mª Teresa Miras Portugal. As we all know, Maria Teresa made many important contributions to several fields of purinergic signalling. We also remember her as a creative intellectual and woman of great strength, passion, and empathy. The guest editors invite submissions in the form of original contributions or reviews to this issue.
