Abstract

In this final chapter I return to some of the issues raised in Chapter 1. The relationship between charisma of the first century and that of the twenty-first is reconsidered, as is the connection — if any — between the two charismas of contemporary culture: the secular and the Christian. A re-examination of these questions may illuminate the cultural role currently played by charisma.
