Abstract
Philosophy is the love of wisdom, and restoration of peace optimally results from wise responses to conflict. Wisdom derives from contemplation and experience woven together. Reflection about problems and awareness of ideas about how to proactively respond to them are mental tools for weaving a shroud of peace that protects from, or restores after, harm. Reflection on and analysis of peace efforts enables the adaptation of existing ideas as well as the generation of new ones. Adjusting the peace shroud to fit the shape of a current conflict can result from these contemplative and analytical processes. Using shared wisdom in new circumstances leads to insights that can be helpful to others who grapple with how to develop peace for everyone where it is needed.
