Accuracy of abundances from O to mid B main sequence stars

Abstract

These notes star with a description of the non-LTE model atmospheres and line formation programs currently used to determine abundances in hot stars. Some recent results are reported concerning early O and OBN stars, He abundance in h and χ Persei, possible N deficiency in the open cluster NGC 6231, interstellar abundance inhomogeneities, possible, results obtained by different groups are compared. For the early O stars, the and radial gradients of N and O abundances in our Galaxy. Whenever is expected in the near future, particularly for the earliest O stars.
