Abstract

In this interview, Huang Sun-quan, the director of Multitude Asia, explores the initiative of the archive, which seeks to foster collaboration among diverse groups in Asia to create a comprehensive profile of their collective interactions on the website. The archive strives to merge autonomous, self-directed pursuit and practice of knowledge with collaborative mobilization, allowing groups to come together in association with one another.

The social movements they participated included those are related to issues of land justice, labor movement, and rights of industrial accident victims. They sold their record for charity and performed in various social events.

    Editor’s note: Tonsan bookstore is affiliated to Tonsan Publications, which was established in 1979. Tonsan Publications publishes books mainly in the area of humanities and social science studies. Later in 1982, the Tangshan Bookstore was established, selling books on literature, history, philosophy, and cultural studies.
