Abstract

The fast and convenient transportation system composed of roads and trails makes Hubei Shennongjia excellent in tour conditions. Since 1990, eco-tourism in Hubei Shennongjia has made great progress, it is now in a rapid development stage, with an annual increase of more than 20,000 tourists since 2008. In fact, the number of tourists in 2012 is 140,000 more than that in 2011. According to statistics, the number of visitors in 2013 has reached 522,000. The developing tourism in Hubei Shennongjia brings a certain pressure on the protection of natural resources and environments. Thus, annual tourists are not expected to exceed the tourism environmental capacity. The State Party China strengthen policies and strategies for managing tourist development.
