Abstract
Disruptive innovations, essentially the business model innovations enabled by the technologies that create disruptive impacts, are among the outcomes of digital transformation. Multi-sided platforms are the phenomenal business model innovations that perfectly illustrate all three categories of disruption of digital transformation. Based on the exploration of the economic characteristics of MSPs identified, the analytical framework for the subsequent case studies is proposed in order to establish an in-depth understanding of Chinese e-health platforms.
