Abstract

The characteristics of solid waste generated from Sri Venkateswara University College of Arts in Tirupati are presented in this paper. Quantity of solid waste generation, its physical components and chemical characteristics of solid waste and disposal practices are detailed. Further, energy recovery from solid waste of college of arts was found out and higher energy content offers energy recovery options from solid waste generated from the college.
