Abstract

We investigate the feasibility of gaseous TPC as a telescope and a polarimeter for cosmic gamma-rays, focussing on the energy range from 1 to 100 MeV. Our beam results show the angular resolution can reach a factor of 2 better than that of the Fermi LAT. We also demonstrate polarimetry with a high significance and an excellent dilution factor, for the first time above the pair production threshold and below 1 GeV.
