Abstract

In this chapter, we summarize our thesis and show outlook. We analytically and numerically investigate the relation between non-perturbative phenomena based on the lattice QCD formalism. The main conclusion is that there is no direct one-to-one correspondence between confinement and chiral symmetry breaking in QCD. This result suggests the existence of a new phase where quarks are confined but chiral symmetry is restored.
