Abstract
Different geographical environment affects the forming and development of several aspects of race, customs and culture, which directly lead to the diverse preferences to colors and LED light color rendering. Chinese people’s cognition features of colors and LED light color rendering, share great similarity, and meanwhile bear many differences that vary according to regional distribution. This article demonstrates the result of a comparative research that focuses on 5 different LED light color rendering of correlative color temperatures. In order to explore the relations between the subjective assessment and various factors, such as gender and regional culture, the researchers conducted psychophysical experiments to 60 observers from different regions, and collected their subjective assessment to both regular objectives and two kinds of painting. Then, comparing the preferences of the observers to LED light color rendering, the researchers come to how the different regional cultures influence over people’s preference to different LED light color rendering. According to the research result, the observers generally prefer the color temperature range of 4000–6000 K; appears the regional divergence in the 3 regions selected in the research.
