Abstract

Conventional wisdom holds that the Fall U.S. presidential campaigns begin in earnest after the Labor Day weekend, and that people aren’t really focusing on the election until the final weeks. It is doubtful that this is true in the Clinton-Trump slugfest, since Trump’s campaign has gone on full steam for almost 18 months, while Hillary Clinton has been running for president for decades.
