  • Chapter
Building Bridges

Abstract

As educators at all levels call for schools to create 21st century learning environments for their students, the need to strengthen preparation for novice teachers in digital literacy is greater than ever (Darling-Hammond, 2006; Gronseth et al., 2014; Kozma, 2008; Ottenbreit-Leftwich et al., 2012; Tondeur et al., 2012; Voogt, Erstad, Dede, & Mishra, 2013). Our use and understanding of technology is ever evolving, and teachers are being asked to enter the profession with evermore skills and knowledge for effectively integrating technology, pedagogy, and content into their instruction.
