Abstract

What is citizenship? Who is a citizen? Currently, when democracy and participation appears to be as threatened, the answer to these questions seems to be critical. However, not everyone believes these concerns are necessary to a person’s development. My own experience suggests that when people are encouraged to take part in public issues, they will participate.
