Abstract

Although this masters program started three years ago, I believe the kindling that started me on this path began smoldering about 11 years ago. That was when I first met a UBC faculty advisor for a new student teacher program entitled FAME (Fine Arts and Media in Education). This change to the pre-service teaching education program appealed to me because of it strong commitment to the arts. Since I had just completed a Visual Arts diploma through another university, it is where my interests as a teacher had evolved.
