Abstract
The thinking process which is our starting point, is fraught with dangers. If we say that a student has to understand the terms used for him to grasp the topic, we end up with a “Mission: Impossible”. Understanding? Well, yes, but up to what point? The precise level of comprehension aimed for would have to be defined each time, or at least a level giving a (minimum?) intelligibility for a given reasoning process.
