Abstract
The passage from the stream of consciousness to the stream of existence, and their mutual intrinsic connection, constitutes one of the knots of phenomenology. My thesis is that the problematic core of the whole process is to be found in the corporeity and complexity of phenomenological dynamics, and in particular in the ambiguous notion of event. I shall try to highlight the permanence of the problem from Husserl’s original outlines to Merleau-Ponty’s developments; I shall eventually suggest a possible outcome in a new determination of event frame.
Gian Michele Tortolone died unexpectedly on May 21st, 1998 due to a tragic motorcycle accident. His professor — Dr. Ciancio (University of Vercelli) — helped to correct the article.
