Abstract
Polarization profiles of resonance lines formed in the presence of various types of waves propagating in a non-magnetic atmosphere are investigated. The input solar atmospheric model is VAL-C (Vernazza et al. 1981). We find that the type of wave present in the atmosphere influences the time averaged emergent polarization profile in spite of the stratification of physical parameters present in the atmosphere.
