Abstract
The Tycho experiment was launched with the Hipparcos satellite andP rovided two-colour photometry B T and V T for more than one million stars brighter than V T =11.5 mag (ESA 1997, ESA SP-1200) . These two filters are roughly centered on the B and V Johnson filters. A simple linear transformation exists between Tycho B T and VT magnitudes and B and V magnitudes in the Johnson photometric system (see ESA 1997) . The Tycho Epoch Photometry Annex A contains the B T and V T magnitudes measured for each Tycho observation of the known variable stars. In the present paper, these measurements are corrected for the bias described in ESA SP-1200, Vol. 4, chapter 9 (pg 133).
