Part of the book series: Astrophysics and Space Science Library ((ASSL,volume 233))

Abstract

HD 87643 has long been known as a peculiar B-type emission line star. Its spectrum is dominated by emission lines from FeII and the Balmer series. Of particular note is the P Cygni shape of the hydrogen and helium lines. Except for the blue-shifted absorption components and interstellar absorption lines, no absorption lines have been found.
