Variable Stars as Essential Astrophysical Tools

Abstract

One of the main objectives of the detailed study of the spectra of excited modes in main sequence pulsating stars is the unique opportunity to apply, similar to helioseismology, the inverse techniques for investigation of a star’s inner structure. Numerous sets of detected and (ι,m,n) — identifiednormal nonradial modes is crucial for the application of these techniques to stars.
