Abstract
The roAp stars are shown to have frequency variability on time-scales of years. The observations and data analysis techniques which led to this discovery are discussed. Comparison with frequency variability in the sun over the solar cycle is made. There is no accepted explanation for the observed frequency variations. Some speculations are made.
