Abstract
When I speak about Schrödinger it alrnost seems as if I were worshiping him as a hero. The truth is that Schrödinger is one of my intellectual mentors. He did not just influence me through his writings but also as a person. In remembering hirn, however, I would like to try avoid making a hero out of him. These anecdotes should help the reader get to know Schrödinger not just from the intellectual, but also from the human side. Even in his writings Schrödinger’s personality is reflected: he went to great pains in his writings to present a topic as clearly as possible, he commemorated his teachers and documented the source of every idea.

Notes
Coercion is something that did not exist for him. “This is not a religion class and so you do not have to believe anything,” he once said during a discussion.
