Methodology

Abstract

The methodology arrived at in the course of considerations laid down in the previous chapter will now be described in detail. After a brief survey of the conditions under which research was carried out, methodological particulars of the depth interview will be related, followed by those of the written questionnaire. The paragraph on statistical analysis of the results will contain a preliminary description of the four dependent variables and of the most important independent variables of the depth interview concerning which the relations with the dependent variables were computed. The tabulation of results and ways of ascertaining the four dependent variables will then be described. At the end of the chapter the test of significance used (Chi-square) and the application of the distribution of percentages will be discussed.
