Abstract
The interrelationship of mental health and migration has a far greater impact on social and personal organization and disorganization than is often understood, although lately great strides have been made towards intensive interdisciplinary research in this borderland between sociology and psychiatry. In addition to widespread reluctance to deal with problems of mental health, lack of understanding of the significance of this interrelationship may be due to the very many obstacles lying in the way of comparative sociological and psychiatric research.
